The humble beginning of the institution with Diploma Programmes in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical by the munificent and Philanthropic Mr.Karumuth Thiagarajar Chettiar. Inaugurated by Mr.R.Venkatraman, the then Minister of Industries, Govt. of Madras.
