The Department of
Textile Technology was started in the year 1959, with a vision
to create qualified technical manpower for the Textile Industry.
Accreditation
The
National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi accredited the
Textile Technology programme for 5 Years (2004 – 2009). Now it
is applied for the renewal.
This department of the polytechnic has one of the best
laboratories in Tamilnadu. Each of the laboratories is very well
laid out and is equipped with a wide range of textile machinery
and equipments. All the machinery and equipments in the
laboratories are in excellent working condition. The more recent
