About
the Department…
The
diploma in Man Made Fibre Technology was introduced in the year
1983-84. The programme lays a strong emphasis on the manufacture
and processing of man-made fibres like viscose rayon, polyester,
nylon, acrylic, etc.
The department is equipped with a whole range
of machinery and equipment that cater to hands-on training in
the important areas of spinning, weaving, knitting, textile
wet-processing and garment manufacture. The textile laboratories
of the polytechnic are among the best found across the country.

A comprehensive educational package and
hands-on practical training guarantee job-ready skills and good
and early placement for the MMFT Technocrats. Several senior
alumni occupy high positions in the textile industry within and
outside India.

in the final semester.
