Admission to the
diploma programs is based on the entry qualification of students.
The candidates who have passed SSLC or its equivalent exam or SSLC
or ITI (For First Year) and HSC (For Direct Second Year) are
eligible to apply. |

Category B : 10 + ITI
Category C : HSC Academic
Category D : HSC Vocational |

Admission is open to
both boys and girls. Admission is restricted to students belonging
to Tamilnadu only. Separate hostel facilities are available for both
boys and girls. |

Reservation of
Seats
Reservation will be made as per the norms prescribed by the
Government of Tamilnadu.
Age Limit
SC/ST candidates - No age limit
Widow - 27 years
Handicapped - 27 years
All others - 22 years
Application for Admission
The Application form and Prospectus can be had on payment of
Rs.150/-(For SC/ST Free of cost on submission of the attested copy
of Community certificate) in the form of a crossed Demand Draft
drawn not earlier than Favor of The Principal, Thiagarajar
Polytechnic College,Salem-5.,payable at Salem or by cash payment in
the office in person. Money Orders and Indian Postal Orders will not
be accepted.
Selection of Candidates
Candidates are ranked on the basis of merit and reservation and they
will be called for counseling / admission in the order of ranking.
The branch will be allotted on the basis of their ranks under the
respective reservation quota and the availability of seats at the
time of actual counseling/admission.
Penalty For Producing False
Community Certificate
Applicants who produce a false community certificate under relevant
provisions of I.P.C Section 416,427 etc., Action will also be taken
against the officer who issued such certificate ender relevant
provisions of I.P.C. besides the application of relevant rules
against him. |
